Women's Spirit helps women break the cycle of abuse through personal growth and the development of economic skills. Our approach is based on providing personalized support to each woman according to her current life situation, abilities, needs, skills, desires, and passions. Women’s Spirit operates a trained and dedicated network of volunteers. Volunteers play a crucial role in enabling Women’s Spirit to meet the needs of women survivors of abuse. They create a safe and supportive space that is personal, authentic, informal, and empowering, where the women we support can grow and realize their potential. Our volunteers are involved in all activities, including the bridal boutique, lectures, workshops, administrative tasks, and our flagship program—long-term personal mentorship.
Women's Spirit sees each individual as unique, with her own needs, desires, aspirations, and abilities. Thanks to our volunteers, we can provide a personalized and appropriate response to each woman survivor of abuse who turns to us. Our volunteers receive extensive training. Following this training, and throughout their volunteering, our volunteers benefit from personal guidance and participate in support groups led by our professional team.
In Israel, more than 200,000 women are affected by abuse. The World Health Organization estimates that the actual number is four times higher due to underreporting. It has been proven that cases of abuse occur across all segments of the population, regardless of education level, profession, income, or community.
It is our collective responsibility to eradicate abuse from Israeli society!
Women's Spirit offers a range of lectures and workshops for municipalities, companies, and organizations. They provide knowledge and practical tools for identifying, responding to, and preventing abuse. In addition, it expands the circles of influence and empower participants to become agents of change within their families, workplaces, and communities.
